Fire Safety Training

At East Coast Fire Services, we offer on-site fire safety and fire marshal training at your business premises.

At East Coast Fire Services, we offer on-site fire safety and fire marshal training at your business premises. Our courses are specifically built around your business and include suitable fire extinguishers and advice on your evacuation procedures. It is vitally important that your staff are trained in operating the firefighting equipment correctly, as incorrect use could worsen the situation. Therefore, when training your team, we can use a live-fire practical session to teach them how to use the appropriate fire extinguishers.

If you are responsible for a business or organisation, it’s essential that you provide fire safety training as part of your formal training and induction process. Prevention is the best form of firefighting, and training can stop fires from happening in the first place.

Employers are legally required by law (The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) to provide information, instruction and training to employees about fire precautions in the workplace. Fire safety training should start with induction training and should continue in the form of regular refresher training. It is essential to keep knowledge up to date and front of mind.

Members of staff who have particular responsibilities regarding fire safety, i.e. supervisory or specialist roles, or are responsible for protecting hotel guests, vulnerable residents or patients should receive detailed instruction in their duties and refresher training every six months.

For members of staff nominated as Fire Marshals, the training ensures they gain knowledge and understanding of fire safety risks and fire prevention. In addition, the training will equip them on how to coordinate and lead fire safety and evacuation procedures in the workplace.

Our trainer has delivered fire safety training for over 30 years, has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience and is highly respected and professional.
